OUR ANNUAL NEW TESTAMENT MARATHON PROJECT

BUILDING STRONG ROOTS IN THE WORD

ProjectRUN is our Read Up the New Testament project as a church. It is a 3-4 months stretch at the beginning of each year to complete the new testament in accountability groups. The system is designed to provide encouragement, support and accountability among members as we all seek to cover the new testament.

ProjectRUN helps our members to continue to grow in our knowledge of the word of God, ensuring that we raise a congregation that is more grounded in the word.

As members discuss, pray, and grow together, ProjectRUN fosters authentic relationships across units, creating a culture of support, unity, and spiritual growth.

THE NEW PROJECTRUN SYSTEM EXPLAINED

To help every member of the church find it easier to complete the New Testament through the project, we have created a system of support, incentives and fun to spice up the project as we build up ourselves in the word.

Below is a breakdown of some of the key features.

GROUP ACCOUNTABILITY

Members will be put into groups of 4-6 persons within their units. Members who are not yet in a unit will be added to accountability groups too. These groups will provide daily accountability for members and will meet weekly for check-ins.

REAL-TIME PROGRESS TRACKING

This time around, the progress tracking will be automated on a community platform we will use, and streaks will be real-time and will capture a leaderboard of everyone involved in the project across all units in the church.

PARTICIPATION POINTS

Beyond the consistency streaks for reading each day, members will get points for active participation such as sharing what you learnt from the chapters for the day, winning trivia games, creative sharing of the lessons you are learning, and participating in challenges.

FUN CHALLENGES

To spice up the experience, we will be introducing fun challenges both on individual and group levels. These challenges will carry substantial points that will count towards rewards. Challenges will vary from creative expressions of the chapters read to summaries from groups.

ONGOING REWARDS & PRIZES

There will be rewards both for individuals and groups in the course of the project. Rewards will come from achieving milestones and streaks – both individually and as groups, completing challenges – both individually and as groups, and winning quizzes (including the grand prize during the closing event).

CLOSING EVENT & FINAL QUIZ

We will wrap up ProjectRUN this time with a closing event where we will have an inter-unit quiz competition. There will be department-based and individual quizzes with grand prizes to be won. There will also be rewards and recognition for members who achieved streaks, participated, and led in their groups.
